About this site
A short, honest description of what Local Tree Quotes is and who is behind it.
Local Tree Quotes is a referral service, not a tree company. We do not perform tree work, give prices, or guarantee any company's work, license, or insurance. We send your request to an independent tree company serving your area, and that company pays us for the calls and requests we send.
We are a referral service
Local Tree Quotes is a lead-referral website. Homeowners use it, starting with central New Jersey, to ask for a tree service quote. We pass each request, and each phone call to the number on this site, to one independent local tree company. We are not that company. We do not do tree work, employ tree crews, give arborist advice or inspect trees.
How we earn money
We may receive compensation from the contractor who receives your request or call. It can be a flat fee or a fee per request. It is never charged to you, and it does not change the price the contractor quotes you. We do not sell your information to anyone else. See the privacy policy.
Who runs it
This site is operated by EarlierNow, a small software business, under its own separate brand. It is run as a separate, independent brand so that it does not suggest a connection to any tree company or to the EarlierNow appointment-alert service. For now the business contact is quotes@localtreequotes.com.
The company that calls you
The tree company will say who it is when it calls. Before any work starts, ask for its legal business name, a written quote, a certificate of liability insurance, workers' compensation coverage and the New Jersey license number of the licensed tree expert or tree care operator on the job. If something goes wrong with the work, that is between you and the company; we will help pass a complaint along if you write to us.
What we do not do
- We do not show reviews or ratings, because we have none to show.
- We do not name contractors or claim awards, years in business or a crew size.
- We do not book work, take payment for tree work or act on your behalf.
